M42 // GeoConsulting and MultiClient Geophysical ASA have entered a Cooperation Agreement regarding structural interpretation of the MCG Prospect Grid, acquired between 2009 and 2013 and covering the southwestern Barents Sea margin, which will document a hypothesis on a tectonic model of the deep structural framework. It is the intention to publish this in a full paper in cooperation with Professor Atle Rotevatn from University of Bergen.
The new approach has significant implications for the future exploration in the area, including understanding of important structural trends and their impact on sediment distribution, source rock distribution, trap formation and uplift history restricted to defined megascale fault blocks. Part of this will be presented at the MCG Barents Sea West Forum in Oslo and Stavanger, on the 5th and 7th of April, respectively.

M42 // SVG and the segment M42 // Geoconsulting is established, however, with the formalities such as an Organisation Number, business bank account etc. still outstanding.

Sidsel was invited to have the Dinner Speech at the 2016 NCS Recent Discoveries Conference in Oslo, to give her view on the future of exploration on the NCS. The target of the speech was to inspire, think new and give a positive perspective for the future - because we will be busy in a couple of years.
The speech was very well recived, and a lot of people have given positive feedback.
